Shenzhou -16 Mission: The First Chinese Civilian in Space


1. The Shenzhou 16 mission is China's fifth manned mission to the Tiangong space station.
2. The mission launched on May 30, 2023, from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in China.
3. The crew of the Shenzhou 16 mission consists of Jing Haipeng, Zhu Yangzhu, and Gui Haichao.
4. Jing Haipeng is the commander of the mission and is a veteran astronaut who has flown on three previous missions.
5. Zhu Yangzhu is a spaceflight engineer and is making her first spaceflight.
6. Gui Haichao is a payload specialist and is the first Chinese civilian to fly in space.
7. The Shenzhou 16 mission will dock with the Tiangong space station and the crew will spend Five months aboard the station.
8.China will be the only country to own a space station as the International Space Station of Russia is a collaborative project of several countries.
9.The ISS station is also set to be decommissioned by 2030.
10. The Shenzhou 16 mission is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Chinese space program.
