Raja Dandam (Sengol ) is a symbol of justice and authority in
India.
The Sengol is a beautiful and
intricate piece of craftsmanship. It is made of silver and gold, and it is
decorated with jewels. The sceptre is about 18 inches long, and it has a Nandhi
at its top.
The Sengol was originally presented to Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first Prime Minister, as a symbol of the transfer of power from the British.
